How long will it take me to lose weight?

I’m 15 years old, 5′ 7″, and weigh 230 pounds. I want to reach about 180-200 pounds ASAP. I’ve been taking Acai Berry Detox Pills daily, a serving of 100% Whey Protein daily, and 20 minutes of cardio on the treadmill everyday. I plan on adding in some simple exercises like crunches and push ups. I am also dieting, cutting back on calories and all fatty foods, and eating more fruits, vegetables, and oatmeal. I’m serious about losing weight, and I want to happen as fast as possible. At this rate, how long will it take me to lose 20-30 pounds? And, is there anything else I can do to speed up the process? You are totally on the right track! Eating lots of fruit and veggies, low fat proteins and extra fiber is the perfect way to modify your diet when losing weight. Also, the extra cardio and exercise will help you burn fat and tone your muscles. What you may need to watch are your portion sizes – your total caloric intake. Write down what you eat for a couple of days to figure out your calories. Shoot for 2,000 a day. Lower it every two weeks by a few hundred calories until you are losing weight – just don’t go below 1400 a day at your age – you are still growing!

One of the best ways I found to manage my calories was with protein shakes. Just don’t put too much fat in them! I used them twice a day with a decent dinner. Here is a great recipe:
